Mathern Calls for a Data Center Pause

Sen. Tim Mathern discusses his proposal for a one-year pause on new data center development in North Dakota and legislation aimed at preventing public officials from signing non-disclosure agreements with developers.

Mathern says North Dakota has tremendous potential for data center development, but communities need better information and greater transparency before long-term decisions are made about water, energy, taxes, and public resources.
